Terms of Service

1. The service

TradeTempo (“the Service”) is a real-time trading discipline companion. It includes a Chrome extension that watches your broker session and surfaces audits while you trade, and a web dashboard for journaling, rule definition, accountability partnerships, and account-cost tracking.

2. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using the Chrome extension, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

3. Your responsibilities

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You're responsible for the accuracy of self-entered trading data and the security of your account credentials.
• You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to reverse-engineer it, to scrape it, or to abuse the API beyond documented rate limits.
• The extension API key shown in your settings is sensitive — treat it like a password. Don't paste it into a public chat or commit it to a repo.

4. Plans & pricing

The Service offers three tiers: Tempo Free ($0), Tempo+ ($19/mo or $15/mo billed annually), and Tempo Pro ($39/mo, coming Q2 2027). Current features per tier are listed on /pricing; the cap numbers actually enforced live in lib/ai/plan-caps.ts andlib/billing/plans.ts.

We may adjust pricing for new signups with 30 days' notice. Existing paid subscriptions keep their price for the current billing period. Founder pricing (lifetime $9/mo for the first 100 founder-code redeemers) is honored for the life of the subscription as long as it stays continuously active.

5. The 14-day Tempo+ trial

Path B signup starts a 14-day Tempo+ trial. The trial requires a card on file via Stripe Checkout. We'll send a reminder email 3 days before the trial ends.

On day 15, your card is charged $19 (monthly) or $180 (annual) unless you cancel. Cancel any time from the customer portal accessible at Settings → Billing.

If your card fails on day 15, the subscription is cancelled rather than dunned — we'd rather you'd come back when ready than auto-collect from a dead card.

6. Billing & renewals

Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled. Stripe handles all card processing — we receive the subscription ID and current status, never the card number.

Receipts are sent automatically by Stripe. Invoice history is accessible in the customer portal.

7. Refunds & cancellation

You may cancel any time from the customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no refund for unused days, but you keep Tempo+ access until the period ends.

14-day refund window: if you cancel within 14 days of your first paid invoice (i.e. day 15 to day 29 of the trial-then-paid path, or day 1 to day 14 of a direct-buy), email hello@tradetempo.ai and we'll prorate a refund for the unused days, no questions asked.

Subsequent renewals are not refundable except as required by applicable consumer-protection law.

8. Referrals

Each user has a personal referral link (?ref=<code>). When a referee's subscription becomes active or trialing, both sides receive a 30-day extension of free Tempo+ access. Capped at 3 paid conversions per referrer. Self-referrals don't qualify. Referral credit can't be cashed out, transferred, or stacked with other promotional offers beyond the 30-day stack we already do.

9. Data handling

We collect, store, and process the data described in our Privacy Policy. You can export or delete your data any time from Settings.

10. Account termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, attempt to defraud the referral / trial / refund mechanisms, or engage in payment fraud. Where reasonable we'll give you a chance to fix the issue first.

You can terminate your account from Settings → Danger Zone. Termination immediately stops future billing and starts the 30-day data-deletion clock.

11. No financial advice

TradeTempo doesn't give financial, investment, or trading advice. AI-generated drift alerts, rule audits, behavior-pattern detection, and weekly digests are discipline-coaching outputs only. They don't recommend buying, selling, or holding any instrument. You alone are responsible for your trading decisions. See the full Disclaimer.

12. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant that audits will catch every rule violation, that the extension will never miss a fill, or that AI outputs will be accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TradeTempo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service — including but not limited to trading losses, lost profits, account terminations by prop firms, or data loss.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

13. Intellectual property

The Service's code, design, branding, and content are owned by TradeTempo. You retain ownership of data you submit, but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process and display it for the purpose of operating the Service for you.

14. Modifications

We may update these Terms. Material changes are emailed to registered users at least 14 days in advance and posted here. The updated date at the top of this page always reflects the current copy. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall first be attempted in good-faith negotiation; if unresolved, they shall be finally resolved through binding individual arbitration. Class actions and class arbitration are waived to the fullest extent permitted by law.
